About
Who We Are
Green Scheme is a non-governmental organisation started by a group of students, with a goal of tackling Indonesia’s waste management issues, fighting for a more sustainable Indonesia.
According to a World Bank report in June 2018, Indonesia generates 105,000 tonnes of solid municipal waste everyday in urban areas, with only 15% recycled. Majority of these waste producers, which include institutions and businesses alike, tend to dump their waste in a nearby landfill, to be forgotten and never reaching the waste processing plants for its proper processing, resulting in environmental consequences such as pollution and water contamination.
To tackle this prevalent issue, Green Scheme plans to link up with these institutions and businesses and provide the services to collect, sort, and transport recyclable waste, ensuring that it reaches a proper recycling facility, giving it a new lease of life.

Practicing the 3 R's at home or at your workplace
Reduce the use of single-use plastics and harmful chemicals
Reuse or Re-purpose unwanted objects to give it a new lease of life

Eat Sustainably
Sustainable food production uses processes and systems to lower the environmental impact of food production and to protect workers, communities and consumers, while not compromising the needs of future generations.
Eat more whole grains, vegetables, fruits and nuts, and less red meats and processed foods does too.
You can even grow your own fruits and vegetables!
Volunteer
Volunteer for cleanups in your community, such as Clean Up Jakarta, or your local beach cleanups. Every effort counts!
You can even go one step further and organize your own clean up in your local community.
Take this opportunity to educate others who might not be aware of the consequences of their actions to the environment.
